Problem
The company needs a new multi-page site with resources separated by theme and filtering with custom logic
The task is to create the following pages on the site:
Homepage, Location, Infrastructure, Workforce, Culture, News Overview, Contact Us, Blog Overview, Resources Overview, Covid Resources, (Duplicate of blog post structure, but separate from it), Individual Resource (Gated | Ungated), Individual Blog, Join Us, Services, Relocation, Expansion.
Every page comes with a structure convenient for editing (on the admin dashboard). We use custom Gutenberg blocks for better UX on the editor side.
Solution
To make the website fully meet the needs and requirements of the client, we’ve developed custom blocks like a homepage slider, a responsive circle diagram and an image grid with titles and descriptions.
Everything was built with Gutenberg editor for absolute compatibility. We had to organize the Resources page so that it would be convenient to show or hide the Covid-related resources. It involved creating two independent libraries – one for Covid resources and another one for all the rest, and setting the filtering logic by type.
The new structure included independent libraries, gated and ungated content organized conveniently and an optimized set of plugins. We’ve deleted all unnecessary plugins to make the site load faster and made all their functionality built-in.
Homepage Slider
We have developed a custom Gutenberg slider for full-screen images. The admin can set the title or description for that image (optional). The slider has various options for transitions between the slides (can be configured in the editor).
Custom Forms
We added custom forms with a lot of settings. The admin can set different default radio buttons for each page.

Integrated interactive tour using Mapbox widget. Simply place your cursor over the blue box below and scroll.
Custom Grid
Custom grid with images, titles and descriptions.

Workforce
This page has a fully responsive circle block with the text. The sections change their color on mouse hover events. This is what it looks like on tablets and desktops.
Culture
The custom text block has a mosaic structure. The admin can change the border color, icon, puzzle background, title and description for each row.
News Overview
Here, a user can take a look at the news posts or choose topics and categories they are interested in, filtering them by author, tag or date. This page allows changing the author, background image, title, descriptions and other options like filtering settings and the like. It can be done from the admin dashboard.
News Single Post
Here, a user can take a look at the news posts or choose topics and categories they are interested in, filtering them by author, tag or date. This page allows changing the author, background image, title, descriptions and other options like filtering settings and the like. It can be done from the admin dashboard.
Blog Overview
The blog overview page has the same structure as the news page. Users can filter posts by blog topic, category, date or author.
Resources
The Resources and Covid resources pages have the same structure. Their overview pages displays the list of the posts with dates and titles. The difference lies in the filtering logic: users can filter resources by type. Covid resources are located in a separate library dedicated to these resources specifically. They do not depend on core resources, which makes it convenient to select which type of content to display as the situation in the world changes.
Single & Additional Resource Block
The structure of a single resource block is the same as that of a single news post. Resources are divided into two types: Gated and Ungated. Authorized users can download resources by clicking on the Download button on a single resource page. The Additional Resources block – shows the recent resources by category on every single page. The admin can choose the resources and posts for this block on the admin dashboard.
Join Us
You can turn the cards from this block over by hovering over them. Each card has a title, background image, description and transparency properties, which you can change via the admin dashboard.
Investors Block
The Investors block gives access to the sponsor’s pages by click. The admin can choose the visual form of the link: text or image.
Services
The Service block is a grid with cards. Each card has a backside where users can see descriptions. To flip the card over, a user should hover over it.
Our Team
For the team preview, our engineers have developed a tailor-made block with images and text information.
Our Board
Users can see other names in the table with links. Each row and column can be customized in the admin dashboard.
Result
The new multi-page arrangement allowed to organize the content more logically. Due to the separated libraries, filtering resources by type became a convenient way to adjust the Resources page to the current global situation.
Custom blocks that we used for the site’s content visualize the information more effectively. Everything was developed with the native WordPress functionality, which is important for performance and future administration and maintenance work.
By using custom blocks, we ensure good UX for both the frontend and the admin dashboard. That way, the site is easier to navigate for users and more understandable for the admin.
