Belov Digital is a US WordPress development agency with over 2,600 projects shipped and a long roster of American clients across SaaS, e-commerce, publishing, and professional services. If you need WordPress done right — custom-built, performant, maintained over the long haul — you’re in the right place.

Most US agencies treat WordPress as a check-box service alongside everything else they sell. We’ve built our entire 12-year business around it. That focus shows up in fewer surprises mid-build, faster turnaround on edge cases, and code your next agency won’t have to rip out and start over.

Why US companies hire us

Three things our American clients consistently tell us were the reasons they signed:

  • WordPress is what we do — not one of twelve services. Our developers are senior WordPress specialists, not generalist front-end people learning the platform on your project. The depth shows up in custom Gutenberg block work, complex plugin builds, and the kind of debugging that turns a two-day issue into a two-hour one.
  • One in-house team — no agency-of-agencies markup. Every developer, designer, and project manager is on our payroll. You’re not paying a spread on a freelancer the agency you hired then subcontracted to. The same people who pitched your project are the ones who ship it.
  • Transparent pricing, no procurement runaround. Hourly work runs $80–120/hour depending on seniority. Maintenance retainers start at $250/month. Fixed-fee project quotes turned around inside 48 hours of a scoping call. No “we’ll get back to you next quarter.”

Twelve years of repetition compounds. Edge cases we’ve already debugged for one client are solved before they hit the next — that’s a real, measurable speed advantage on every project after the first.

WordPress services we provide

Custom WordPress development

Custom themes built on Underscores or full-site-editing foundations, custom Gutenberg blocks, headless setups paired with Next.js or Astro frontends, complex multi-environment deployments, and bespoke plugin development. Read the full breakdown on our WordPress development services page.

Ongoing maintenance and support

The most common engagement we have: monthly retainers where we keep your site secure, fast, and free of breakage. Security patches inside hours of disclosure, weekly off-site backups, performance monitoring, real-time error alerts, and a real human on the other side of Slack. See our WordPress maintenance plans — they start at $250/month.

WooCommerce and e-commerce

WooCommerce migrations from Shopify or BigCommerce, custom payment integrations (Stripe, Authorize.net, Braintree), subscription stores with WooCommerce Subscriptions, multi-vendor marketplaces, and conversion-focused product page builds. We’ve shipped 200+ WooCommerce stores — many of them still on our maintenance roster. WooCommerce development →

SEO and Core Web Vitals optimization

Technical SEO audits, Core Web Vitals work to get a site green in Google’s CrUX dataset, content architecture rebuilds, and on-page optimization. Most useful when your site has traffic but isn’t converting, or has technical debt blocking ranking. SEO services →

Design and branding

Logos, full visual identity systems, design systems for in-house product teams, and conversion-focused page design. Either as a standalone engagement or as part of a development project. Design and branding →

How we work with you

Most US clients land on one of two engagement models:

  • Project-based — fixed scope, fixed deliverables, milestone-based invoicing. Best for site rebuilds, platform migrations, or specific feature builds with a clear endpoint. Typical project length: 4–10 weeks.
  • Retainer / dedicated team — an agreed monthly bucket of developer hours, allocated however your priorities shift week to week. Best for companies with continuous WordPress work: content rollouts, A/B test implementations, performance work, feature iteration. Typical retainer: 20–60 hours per month.

Communication runs in your Slack workspace by default — we’re added as guests. Weekly 30-minute syncs, daily async updates in Slack, and a shared Notion or Linear board for everything that needs to be traceable. Every project has a dedicated project manager as your single point of contact.

Selected work

A few recent projects that show how we work:

  • Marathon Handbook — premier destination for running news. Full WordPress rebuild for engagement, ad performance, and content scale. Now serves millions of monthly readers.
  • Heartland Storage Group — streamlined a multi-location storage reservation flow into a two-click process. Conversion rate doubled in the first month after launch.
  • Ultimate Loan and Mortgage Calculator — interactive WordPress plugin now used by hundreds of US mortgage brokers as a lead-capture tool on their own sites.
  • Sled Dog Talk — high-conversion content site for a niche US podcast audience, built around episode discoverability and email capture.
  • Nathan Cole — e-learning platform built into a WordPress site, with custom course delivery and student progress tracking.

Pricing and contracts

Hourly rates run $80–120 depending on seniority and project complexity. Maintenance retainers start at $250/month for the Economy tier and scale through Business, Premium, and Enterprise plans. Project quotes are fixed-fee, provided within 48 hours of an initial scoping call.

Frequently asked questions

How fast can you start a new engagement?

Discovery call within 48 hours of inbound. Project kickoff usually inside seven days from a signed agreement. For maintenance retainers, we can onboard same-week — including a site audit and inventory of what we’re taking on.

What WordPress projects don’t you take?

We turn down “quick fix” jobs under five hours — they’re inefficient for everyone and rarely solve the underlying issue. We also don’t build new sites on page-builder stacks like Elementor or Divi as a primary architecture. We build with Gutenberg, ACF, and custom blocks for maintainability — page builders create technical debt we’d then be asked to clean up two years later.

Do you handle migrations from other platforms?

Routinely — Wix, Squarespace, HubSpot CMS, Webflow, Drupal, custom CMSes, and legacy WordPress installations stuck on old themes. We map content models, run staging environments for verification, and cut over with zero-downtime DNS swaps. The work is well-trodden, the risk is low.

Do you sign NDAs and master service agreements?

Yes — standard practice for any engagement above a trivial scope. We’ll sign your NDA or MSA, or use ours, whichever path is faster for your procurement team. We’ve worked with US Fortune-500 procurement processes before and understand the routine.

Can you take over an existing site from another agency?

Often — a meaningful portion of our work is exactly this. We audit what’s there, document the gaps, fix the urgent issues, and bring the site under proper maintenance from there. No drama with the prior agency required; we just need access to the hosting and the repository.
